Introducing Project Nostalgia

Description

Project Nostalgia is a roughly three minute 360 degrees Virtual Reality Music Video with a futuristic aesthetic that combines live action video footage with animations and special effects. It utilizes various software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Logic, ProTools, Native Instruments Suite, and Izotope’s Ozone Elements. The idea is to take the viewer through memory lane and reminisce on their time and experiences through life, from the childhood stages to the current college years. Visually, we are looking to pull from the idea of hallucinations mixed with space and time to create a feeling of an out of body experience.The videos are captured with 360 camera equipment and overlaid with visual effects as well as combining 2D animations. The music provides a euphoric, calm, and ethereal vibe that puts the viewer at ease and reflects on the digital realm that we wish to transport them to. With the use of both analog and digital synthesis to compose the music, the audience will experience an electronic soundscape reflecting the visuals occuring in the film.
